Five-storied Pagoda — Layered Light, Quiet Grandeur and Warmth
Carefully layered pieces of Japanese washi paper give this floor lamp a dignified, tower-like form. Each tier has its own subtle texture. When illuminated, the lattice glows from within, creating depth and a gentle vertical rhythm. Its five-tiered design evokes the passage of time and the stillness of prayer, combining quiet grandeur with warmth.
The lamp uses a linear LED light source designed to minimize glare. The fibers of the washi diffuse the light gently, maintaining a uniform and calming brightness. Subtle shadows cast along each edge emphasize a sculptural depth, while the surrounding wall is painted with soft, pagoda-like shades. By day, it stands with a poised, sculptural presence. By night, its layers appear to breathe, folding light upon light—an ever-shifting expression that feels new every time you look at it.
