01About Our Artworks

What is the Wano-Kokyuu series?

These sculptural lights are created by artist Kiyokatsu Matsumiya using kozo (paper mulberry), a traditional material used to make washi paper.

Combining the texture of washi with LED light, they can be enjoyed both as lighting and as artwork that enhances your space.

Is each artwork handmade?

Yes. Every piece is handmade by the artist and his wife.

Natural materials give each piece subtle differences in shape, colour and texture. These variations are part of its individual character.
