The area where the artist and his wife live is a national washi production area, and contact with washi was a daily occurrence. In this environment, the artist (Kiyokatsu Matsumiya) has created many works using Echizen washi over the past 40 years, and has exhibited them both in Japan and abroad. In the course of these many years of production, he discovered the mysterious charm of kozo (paper mulberry), the raw material of washi, in the course of making prototypes of works on the theme of kozo, and this led to the development of \"Wa no Breath\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
